Yes.

Here's the unfortunate situation:

If "uname" says 2.2.0-final then you need to patch the kernel.

If the last *patch* you applied was called patch-2.2.0-final then you
DON'T need to patch the kernel.

(Cos 2.2.0-pre9 declares itself as "-final" and 2.2.0-final declares
itself as 2.2.0 with uname).

Clear as mud, yes?

Roll on 2.2.1 so we can get a bit of clarity again :-)
