To be able to shutdown with halt (and turn of the power supply) you need
an APM (Advanced Power Manager) compiled in the kernel (your hardware must
support this too). Mine has a manger node that root can rsh the
remote nodes. Do the shutdown -h will shutdown, halt, and turn off the
power supply.
