I'm thinking of initiating myself on linux SMP. I set my mind on a dual PII 350
Mhz,
128 MB memory, using a motherboard with the Intel BX chipset (100 MHz bus, AGP
port) and no
SCSI onboard controller (for each I have no need). I have narrowed my choices
to:
ASUS P2B-D
SuperMicro P6DBE
Tyan S1832DL Tyger 100
I would like some advice on this from people experienced with this
motherboards.
For what I have read in the mailing lists and linux SMP Faq the ASUS
motherboard seems
like the safest choice, but it is also costs 100$ more than the others. The
Tyan seems to
have a lot of problems with memory specs.
Thanks in advance,
