In searching for the true DEC chip NIC, I found another cheap alternate by
Samsung. It's called SmartEther SC1200-TX which uses the DEC 21140-AF. It
supposedly does bus-mastering, and auto-determines both 100 Mbps and
full-duplex.  I paid $24.95 at Fry's in California. I haven't tried it yet, but
I wouldn't anticipate a problem.
