Thanks, Dave!  This looks very useful and should probably be a link on
the linux-smp FAQ (David Mentre take note).  From our symptoms, I'll bet
a nickel we've got forged CPU's, possibly overclocked 300's or even
266's (since neither chip will run correctly at over 300 MHz).  We'll
pursue the ritual this page suggests and contact Intel to work through
the PCB markings.

Now see guys, Dave is very handy to have around.  After all, the forgers
and Dave are doing pretty much the same thing, except that Dave doesn't
repackage the CPU's and attach fake serial numbers and the like when
done (I don't think, although it certainly would buy a lot of trips to
nudie bars;-).  In fact, Dave probably does a better job, since his
overclocks WORK and this one obviously doesn't:-)
