Adaptec AIC 7xxx series (i'm not in my office right now, so can't give too good
of details. Have a Dell scsi controller for the 1x6 hot swappable backplane,
and (i guess it is an adaptec) MEGARAID controller for the hardware RAID 5. (I
wonder what would happen if i were to plug in 2 more 9.1 GB HDDs in the
backplane, then reboot linux, would linux see a bigger hdd w/unformatted space,
or would it freak...) sorry, a little off-topic. I enabled the megaraid
controller, and on boot-up 4 SCSI devices were found instead of 3, and
everything was smooth sailing.
thanks again for the help
