Hi all,
I experienced a weird system crash, when I tried to recompile
glibc2.1 (RH6.0) with -mpentiumpro -O3 (simple rpm --rebuild glibc..).
Screen blanked, never came back, no network access (in.telnetd) anymore.
Furthermore, my computer was so much confused that it didn't even
display *anything* after a cold boot. Turning power off/on did help.
I checked the nohup.out (about 8Mb) and the last 1% of the file contains
garbage:
a - rec_search.o
a - rec_seq.o
a - rec_;\225y\330\345\300^P\375\335...
Any clues?
