Hi SMP people, I recently installed Slackware Linux 4.0. For SMP purposes I compiled a new kernel (make dep ; make clean ; make bzlilo) I used kernel version 2.2.10. Everything works fine but when I start 'top' it returns a warning: /boot/System.map has incorrect kernel version. After that 'top' only shows one processor outpout (I think). Is there something wrong or does 'top' only work with one processor? What can I do about the warning: /boot/System.map has incorrect kernel version? What is the best tool for viewing SMP results?
