Hi,
first of all, let me say that I've looked through all FAQ's
I could find on the web about SMP. I spent two days
searching dejanews without obtaining any clue of how to solve
my problem.
I have a dual PIII xeon 550 with supermicro mobo with 440GX AGP chipset;
adaptec aic 7890 on board, 512 MB RAM (100mhz); 3com 3c905B
ethernet adapter, diamond viper 550 video adapter.
I compiled two kernels with SMP support, 2.0.36 and 2.2.12
Both boot ok, but neither of them can find the second CPU. Here
follows the result of uname -a and the first boot messages
(from 2.2.12 kernel). Any ideas of what is going on?
Should I have equipment replaced?
Thank you very much for the attention.
