I think ABIT may be trying to sell a board for the typical consumer
market but a bunch of people are pushing it too hard (including myself).
I imagine many systems will be like this... mine...
Dual Celeron 366's
ASUS TNT AGP
AMI MegaRAID 428 SCSI UW
BusLogic BT958 SCSI UW
Adaptec AHA-1505 SCSI
Jaton SoundWave 4D
Intel EtherExpress Management 10/100
1 SCSI CD
1 SCSI CDRW
1 SCSI Tape
3 SCSI Hard Drives
All in a single full tower 300W case with as many chassis fans as I can
fit in it. One of the SCSI Hard Drives is an old Seagate SCSI Wide which
I'll be removing for heat reasons... it overheats when it is the only
drive in a system if I don't have a fan blowing on it... the heat
problem overrides the need for the extra 4gigs. I'll also probably want
to look more into the alternate power sourcing of the MegaRAID
controller.. currently it pulls off the PCI buss but there are other
ways to do it and I probably should.
