Hi All, I'm not sure where to look about my problem. I have a 2xKlamath 350, 320MB RAM running 2.2.12. There are two ethernet cards: eth0 is a Tulip, eth1 is a 3c905tx. They get the same irq from the bios. I know this calls for problems, but cannot set the irq slot by slot. (Cheapo Soltek dual MB). Eth0 works just fine and fast serving our internal net. When I attach one linux box with UTP cross cable to eth1 and ping the dual box, the following happens: the response times vary from normal to longer than a second, and this has a cyclical pattern. I have avoided the problem by getting a free port on the hub (on eth0) and plug the new box there, but I would like to know what may have caused the problem. Can anyone suggest where to look and what to test?
