Hi there!

My problem is not really SMP, but I guess there are others on this list, who
are also concerned.

I just bought me an Athlon-based system.

My mainboard is from MSI and I believe it's quite nice and stable, since even
the notoriuos overclockers from Kryotech use it for their Highspeed-Athlons
(up tp 900 MHz...).

But: Has anybody already made some experiences with this board under Linux?
Has anybody some advices to offer?
Do I need a special Kernel-revision?
Or compiler?
Or glibc ?
Or... ???

My first steps look quite promising (booting an especially created kernel
worked, even though the disks were plugged off) but I feel somehow like
walking on the moon... - Everything is icky somehow and I wait for a little
green man coming around the corner... - You know what I mean?! :)

Best regards,

        Herbert

By the way, what chances do I have that the K7 is supported by the gcc, soon?
Which compiler options should I use to get the best results?
