You can look at http://www.goof.com/pcg/ for an amd k6-2 optimized
compiler (which should be the best you can get for your system), this is
the egcs compiler optimized for different cpu architectures... (not just
amd)
also, there is an amd k6-2 optimized distribution at
http://enoch.masslinux.com/ and an pentium optimized (which gives higher
speed for amd too, but not the same as k6-2 optimized) distribution at
http://www.stampede.org/
