Subject: SMP on a Beowulf cluster
Hello,
I have four Compaq Proliant 5500 quad PPro boxes that I am using to build a
Beowulf cluster. They each have 4 512K PPro 200s installed.
The cluster part is working fine, all machines see each other etc. When I
do a cat /proc/cpuinfo, the results only show one processor, so I am
assuming the problem is with the SMP.
I ran make xconfig to turn SMP on and set the CPU type to 686. I then did
make dep , make clean, make bzImage etc. But, I still show only processor.
Any help would be appreciated.
All the best,
Stuart.
