I too have a bp6 with dual celeron 366's overclocked at 550 and had no problems
with my original install of redhat 6.1. I would suspect initially a problem with
your bios settings and initially do not overclock until after you have a
successful install. Also I bought my bp6 from advanceddesignsky who matched and
tested the celerons as part of the package. Have you run the diagnostic software
on the motherboard to make sure you have a fully functioning set of processors?

Also its a good idea not to be logged on as root when you're on the internet.
Best to create a user account and use it all the time and su to root when you
need it. Look at the su man pages regarding use of su and su -.
