yes.  The first thing is the usual stuff about the voodoo.  Then it
diddles with the three onboard scsi controllers, counts disk noses,
and starts to boot.  It runs thru about a screen-full real quickly,
then somehow resets the screen to that the last line is the one that
says decompressing the kernel, and there it hangs.  it _definitely_
gets beyond that point, but this is a quad 550 and it goes so quickly
before it hangs that i can't tell where it is stopping...
