Does anyone know where there is a searchable archive of this list? I'm looking for info on SMP friendly SCSI controllers. The Tekram DC-390U2W looks like a good price/performance card. Also, are there any known problems with Adaptec 1542 ISA controllers and SMP? I moved one from an old 486, where it ran flawlessly for years, to my SMP system and I get total system lockups whenever I access the tape drive and disk at the same time. No errors are reported in the syslog or anywhere else I can find. The exact same SCSI configuration (disk, tape, zip drive) worked fine with a BusLogic 958 on the same SMP system. (I moved the BusLogic controller to the system that replaced the 486.)
