When we were doing the original Linux/SMP Compaq refused to provide open
specs to their boxes. Had they done so them (1.3.4x) I imagine it would have
been supported. One of the early Linux/SMP efforts was in fact using 
4 CPU compaqs but Compaq wouldnt let them release the code in question

If its like the 2 CPU one then it is simply a latch each CPU can use to
set the IRQ 13 line state on the others.  The two CPU one is documented
in the MACH sources.

The basic 710 and 810 are very different beasties.
