The marked line suggests a default MP configuration is used (i.e. one
specified in an MP floating pointer as opposed to an MP-table).
Unfortunately, 2.2 series kernels do not print which default MP
configuration is used. Addtionally these kernels do not handle some of
such configurations particularly well. I would recommend checking
2.3.99-pre6 on this machine, too.
