I'm using the 'new' software raid patch on a Slackware 7 kernel. My SCSI controller is
a CI-2520 with a SYM53C810A chip. It's worked fine for about 50 boots until now.
I've got mixed feelings about Raid5 - it reminds me of the poem about a little girl:
'When she's good, she's very very good.
But when she's bad, she's horrid!'
