Hi All, I am relatively new to the SOC world and need help please. I am interested in using the Allwinner A33 device and have the A33-OLinuXino board and a 7" display. I would like to use Android 9 or 10 or 11 or 12 if possible. I can possibly go to an earlier version of Android if it is easier to set up. I haven't decided which one yet. I come from a microcontroller and FPGA background and need to learn how to get the A33 running and get Android setup on the board. I chose the A33 because of the BGA ball pitch is 0.8mm (easier to work with board layout wise) and the set of peripherals and speed fits perfect for my application and I can get away with a 4 layer board design. Is there instructions that I can follow to configure the device and Android? I basically want to configure the chip through device tree I think its called and I have the Phoenix Card utility for SD card image writing. I have been hearing a lot about U-Boot and the kernel and not sure if this is based on Linux or if this applies to Android as well. I just need to know if I need a separate computer for Linux/Ubuntu and which version or if there is a single utility that I can run in Windows to configure the A33, 7" display and peripherals. I know I sound like an idiot at this point but want to learn how to do this and get my project running. I know C, Assembly, Verilog, Java etc. and can follow instructions if someone could help guide me. Any help is greatly appreciated :-).
