The sata silicon in the sunxi chips claims pmp protocol support, but the driver disables it. I've always wondered if this is really necessary, but I lack the hardware to test. You could try building a kernel with the AHCI_HFLAG_NO_PMP flag removed from the sunxi-ahci driver, and see if the support the silicon claims maybe actually works.
