That is good to hear.
It's best to use a knife to cut through the glue, and not just pry it off.
That is not without risks though, I tried that the second time I needed to separate a battery from the lcd, and I ended up cutting through the silver wrapping around the battery on the side where the glue was. Resulting in a nasty chemical smell being released from the battery. If I had cut any deeper I might have caused the thing to burst into flames ...
