I'm running ftmt "GNU mt version 2.4.2, adapted for ftape-tools 1.07.3"
Can't get latest ftape-tools to compile. Kernel 2.2.12.
ftape modules 09/11/99. Drive *has* worked before, but haven't tried
since a new motherboard was put in (May 99).
When I run an "ftmt -f /dev/qft0 status", I get this in my logs:
Sep 24 14:33:21 ns1 kernel: [008] 0 ftape-calibr.c (ftape_calibrate) -

Sep 24 14:33:29 ns1 kernel: [018] 0 ftape-ctl.c (ftape_enable) -
ftape_init_drive(ftape) failed: -5.
This was happening before, but it turned out the tape was
damaged. The errors you see above come from a brand-new Iomega
7GB cartridge installed today.
Anyone know what's going on here?
TIA for help!
