I use the Ditto Max with linux 2.2.12. Works well most of the time
except sometimes I get weird data errors and failures and have to dump a
large amount of data to the tape in windows with the Iomega backup. This
makes it go away.

I have also found that copying to the tape in windows is necessary
before I can use the tape for the first time in Linux.

Anyone else had to use the Iomega software to get their Ditto Max tapes
to work?
