Solved for me. Version 0.28 doesn't seem to jump to the settings page if there's a connection problem so i had to edit the config files in /etc/mythtv/config.xml and ~/.mythtv/config.xml to stop the endless bootloop. Found here: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2326359

After setting this, the frontend crasches with the following message: Restarting Frontend The front-end crashed unexpextedly (exit code 130) and is restarting. Please wait... After a few seconds (after restarting) all works fine. But on the next system boot, the same procedure appears again.
