Great link. I've never tought to go to a patent site to get the
compression algo ..

I live in belgium, there is no ( yet ? ) software patent here. So If the
patent forbids me to decompress jpeg lite, I'll release this part of the
code as geographically limited GPL, as Alan Cox says :
