Yep, looks like a typical example of a Genesys interface giving up the 
ghost.

I was hoping that maybe something could be gleaned from a .inf file.  But 
apparently not.

Actually, I don't understand why you're getting those 512-byte CSW
requests in your USB Snoopy log.  I've got a Windows 2000 system and a
programmable USB device that I set up to use the Genesys vendor and
product ID numbers.  But they ended up using normal 13-byte CSW requests.  
There must be something going on that we don't know about.
