Actually, it'd be a Good Deed if someone were to send patches
updating the 2.4 gadget code to be a bit more in sync with
the 2.6 version. I'd suggest updating the utility routines
first, including usb_ep_autoconfig(), to keep _necessary_ diffs
between the two kernel versions smaller.
