(I don't know what happened with your mail client, but the email you sent contained 3 copies of your message.) You can start by turning on the USB debugging option in your 2.6.6 kernel configuration. Post the dmesg output you get. It's possible that your problem has nothing to do with the USB stack. You could try doing this experiment: Take the source code for the USB stack from 2.6.5 (that is, everything below drivers/usb together with include/linux/usb*.h) and put it into the 2.6.6 kernel source tree. Then build your 2.6.6 kernel using the 2.6.5 USB stack. If the keyboard still doesn't work that proves the problem lies somewhere else.
