I copied the usb specific messages out of dmesg's output (which is spammed by 
ipw2100 warning messages)

usb 4-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
ub(4.5): GetMaxLUN returned 0, using 1 LUNs
 uba: uba1 uba2

the block devices are mount- and usable for me (ipod u2 edition), thanks for 
the patch.
