All we see that the printer does not complete a transfer.

At this point I think we can exonerate usblp.c. Only two possibilities
remain that I can see:
 - foo2zjs should insert padding to let printer breathe, or worse,
   it has to be an actual delay in front of the chunk,
 - Something is not right with the Host Controller or its driver.

Unfortunately, I do not see any easy way to split the two.

Have you tried to put a USB 1.1 hub in between the printer and the host,
or trying "rmmod ehci_hcd"?
