What does this mean, the new configuration may "fail"? If I try to
ping out of my WLAN adapter I get the error "wlan0: tx timeout". Maybe
this is some art of failing because of insufficient power? Or does
such failing look more like crashing of WLAN adapter?

Why does kernel sent new firmware to device? Is this necessary? Or
just a nice feature?
