I got the 2.4.15 sourcetree which seems to be most current on kernel.org.
Unfortunately I don't understand "You need to turn the special 8200E option
under the mass storage driver."  In menuconfig [make menuconfig] there is no
option about HP8200E.  Where do I change this?  There is a file called
.config after menuconfig is finished and there is a variable about HP8200E.
I set this to Y but still no luck.

When I get the dmesg message "unhandled interfaces", who is talking mass
storage or the controler driver.
