I recently (today) bought a new cordless keyboard, and plugged it in a Lava
USB host Adapter (a PCI card with two USB1.1 jacks). Input core for mice and
keyboards is compiled in the kernel (no modules) as are usb-ohci, usb-uhci
(the non-JE driver) and hiddev.
In USB mode, the /dev/input/mice device is created (using devfs here) but
will not answer to the any mouse movement or button click. Keyboard is
likewise unresponsive. In non-USB mode (the combo comes with PS/2 adapters)
the keyboard works. I couldn't test the mouse (no PS/2 adapters for mice on
the back of this box)
Distro is Debian (current unstable). Kernel is 2.4.16-rml (rml's patch for
preempt is compiled in) Kernel dumps these messages when booting with the
keyboard/mouse in USB mode plugged in:

Anyone has any idea how to get the whole thing working, in USB, with both the
mice and keyboard?
Yours Truly,
