I don't necessarily think it's a Linux problem, but with the USB tools available on Linux, I thought I'd have a better chance of getting to the root of the problem. What I am trying to figure out is: Is it the keyboard that's just not going to work with this laptop, is the USB chip or bus broken, is the BIOS that's somehow not functioning the way it should, or what else is keeping this from working? Does the following line from the dmesg output point in that same direction: usb.c: unable to get device descriptor (error=-110) What can I do to find out just what piece of hardware (see above) is causing this problem?
