Hi,
I recently purchased a Lexar Memory Stick reader
(http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdev.php?id=1103), however I have been
unable to get it to work under Linux.
SCSI does not show /proc/scsi/scsi says there are not an devices, and there
are no /dev/sd* devices available even though usbcore, usb-uhci, usb-storage,
scsi_mod, sd_mod are all loaded (according to lsmod).
The /proc/bus/usb/devices file says:
- ------
T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 4 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.00 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=05dc ProdID=0103 Rev= 6.08
S: Manufacturer=Lexar Media, Inc.
S: Product=USB Memory Stick Reader
S: SerialNumber=7B2C895C50
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=100mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=(none)
E: Ad=01(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl= 0ms
E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl= 0ms
- ------
It seems to me that perhaps the problem is that it says Driver=(none), even
though it is suppose to use the usb-storage module. Is there an easy way to
fix this?
I am using Mandrake Linux 8.2 with the 2.4.18mdk-win4lin kernel. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tim
