running on 2.4.19 does _not_ work though I didn't find the time for a
deeper investigation in some hundreds of syslog lines - the geometry
gets detected, but reading the partition table appearently fails.
Funny enough, one could install Win 0.98 in a vmware box and connect the
external usb disk to the virtual machine. Not that I could recommend
that...
