hello, I have just noticed another thing. On my system this ioctl VIDIOCSPICT call always fails. The specs are a AMD Athlon 600 Mhz. However using the same version of the ov511 driver on another system a branded HP Brio with P3 900 Mhz processor the ioctl (same code actually) works perfectly fine. Could there be a hardware conflict (but then how does xawtv change the contrast and brightness and stuff on the same system), please help.
Also, Mark i have just noticed that modprobbing the ov511 driver i get the version 2.4.6. However my linux is 7.2 with kernel 2.4.7-10. You have written that these version are for 2.5> kernels. has it got anything to do with it. Please guide me on this. regards.
