Thanks for your help Brad. 
I just solved the problem, so just for the logs: 

I had put usb0 (192.168.1.101) and eth0 (192.168.1.102) on the same network.

Changing usb0 to 192.168.0.101 and everything runs smooth. 
I think I've still got to learn a bit about routing.  :-)
