Personally I would not buy the device if I knew about that before the purchase and had alternatives. Or someone can use usb-snoopy to see how the device operates under Windows. Or someone can ask the device mfr for s/w interface specs for the device. Or someone can work with the nfr, possibly under NDA, to create an open-source driver for the device. > THe USB User Guide should tell people how to use USB.
