Hi
I'm using an USB 2.0 harddisk to backup my files (dump). Works fine with
2.4.21 vanilla, but I have problems with every 2.4.22-pre* kernel.
Here's what happens with 2.4.22-pre7:

The drive gets detected just fine

new USB device 00:02.2-2, assigned address 3
scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Vendor: Maxtor 6 Model: Y120L0 Rev: 0811
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Attached scsi disk sda at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
SCSI device sda: 240121728 512-byte hdwr sectors (122942 MB)
/dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0: p1
WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured

But as soon as dump begins to copy the dumpfile onto the drive:

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB disconnect on device 00:02.2-2 address 3
usb-storage: host_reset() requested but not implemented
scsi: device set offline - command error recover failed: host 1 channel
0 id 0 lun 0
I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 1404208
I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 1404456
I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 1404704
I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 1404952
...

Since 2.4.21 works fine, I guess there's a problem with the new
USB-code.
Is this problem known or is there even a workaround?
Please CC me, thanks.
