Ok. The hotplug scripts load usbmouse it's not something I have loaded myself but I will investigate why hotplug is loading it.


You'll need to change the entry in your X config to /dev/input/mice (not /dev/usbmouse).

Ok. I will try this. I am running devfs and devfs creates a link from /dev/usbmouse to /dev/input/mouse0 but I changed that to /dev/input/mice.



Also, can you tell us if it happens without the proprietary X driver?

I will try the other things first since I can hardly run X without it.
I have to run it with framebuffer or something but I will do that if the above 2 things doesn't help.
