Hi all,

ever since I run a 2.6.x kernel, my USB system keeps falling over every
now and then. It did not happen with the 2.4 series kernel (I ran up to
2.4.23). I run a vanilla 2.6.7 on Gentoo.

At some point my mouse goes dead, and I have to disconnect and
re-connect the USB hub to get it back to life. These are the relevant
lines in the log :

Jul 17 02:06:47 satan kernel: uhci_hcd 0000:00:04.2: host system error,
PCI problems?
Jul 17 02:06:47 satan kernel: uhci_hcd 0000:00:04.2: host controller
halted, very bad!

After the reconnect:

What can I do to help fix this? I have seen one similar problem on this
list to date, but no resolution yet.

Thanks,

Erik
