Hi, I am a newbie, using Linux since about 1 month. I have been using FC 2.6.5-1.358smp kernel with a USB printer (HP LJ 1500). This worked well until I switched to the new kernel ... the most recent kernel I try is FC 2.6.8-1.521smp. For some reason, the new system does not "see" USB printer device (the device list of printtool does not show /dev/usb/lp0).
Although I've seen a few emails reporting similar problems, I have not found any hint to a solution yet. The only solution I have for now is to revert to the old kernel ... which is quite unfortunate since the old kernel refuses to work with my USB Compact Flash drive :-( Thank you in advance for your help, Alexei ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by BEA Weblogic Workshop FREE Java Enterprise J2EE developer tools!
