Hi,

I have an Intel SE7501CW2 board that I have been unable to get usb-storage to work correctly using FC1, FC4 with kernel 2.6.16, Centos v3.6. I have rebuilt the kernel on each of the versions several times verifying that the appropriate USB options have been chosen based on the multitude of HowTos. The kernel does not report anything in /var/log/messages or via dmesg.

I have a Gigabyte GA-6VTXDR-C running FC1 for several years, and usb-storage works perfectly. And this is what sold me. But after spending more than a week without any success I'm ready to go back to Windows. If I leave Linux now, I will not be coming back for a long time.
