This is normal. If all of them are unused, it's probably because usbcore's register_chrdev() call failed. > > but the scanner doesnt worked anyway. Actually what we have seen is that the USB scanner driver can transfer scanner data, but the scanner backend (SANE) doesn't know how to handle a particular scanner's data format.
