i just couldn't get ACM working with dial-in.
system:
linux-2.2.14+backport (all of them until the last pre50)
linux-2.3.50-1
mgetty
usb modem Elsa 56K
usb modem Compaq 56k
results:
CONNECT works OK
login prompt OK
password prompt OK
i even get the (only the first(!) line of) /etc/motd
after that, everything i type goes nowhere (receive led does blink, though).
dmesg gives:
acm.c: input control lines: dcd- dsr+ break- ring+ framing- parity- overrun-
acm.c: input control lines: dcd+ dsr+ break- ring- framing- parity- overrun-
dialouts do work on these modems.
does anyone have similar problems ?
