I haven't seen most of the discussion to which you refer. (I don't 
subscribe to any Linux mailing lists, since the use of the GPL is 
unethical and Linux is -- unfortunately -- GPLed.) However, I reserve
the right to express my opinion and the course of action that I 
advocate is still the same. Philips should not be approached in
an adversarial way, since doing so is likely to hurt rather than
help the chances of documentation being released.
