I've been trying to get my UPS to work with the 2.3.99-pre6
kernel. Unfortunately, it doesn't. I've also had two people email me about
them recently, so I'm not alone in this. Here's what I've been getting:

<BASIC USB STUFF>

May 4 08:09:50 Dragon kernel: usb.c: registered new driver hid
May 4 08:16:06 Dragon kernel: usb.c: USB new device connect, assigned
device number 2

If I unplug the UPS, I get:
May 4 08:16:56 Dragon kernel: usb.c: USB disconnect on device -1

Now here's the problem. If I cat the drivers file, I get:
         hid
         hub
         usbdevfs

If I try to cat /proc/bus/usb/devices, it hangs (until I do a ^Z).

I get the following when I try to look at the files in .../001
bash-2.03# ls 001/*
ls: 001/-01: No such file or directory
001/001

So it looks like the UPS is being assigned device number -1.

Can someone give me a hand with this?

Thanks,
Drew
